Before we discuss this "mark of the beast" prophesy, let me quote a few scriptures on "fear", which we may feel when reading certain prophesies and warnings...

[Heb 11:7] By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

[Luke 21:25] And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; [Luke 21:26.6] Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. [Luke 21:27] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. [Luke 21:28] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

[Phil 2:12] Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

[Heb 12:28] Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

[Heb 13:6] So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

[Rev 21:8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

[2Tim 1:7] For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

[1John 4:16] And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. [17] Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. [18] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. [19] We love him, because he first loved us.

In sum, fear God, not man. God gave us these prophesies so that we might demonstrate our faith and love for him, and so that we will know that we are worshipping the God who can accurately predict the future, and so that we can prepare ourselves in advance, as did Noah.

But if you have a lazy spirit, and do not want to prepare, and you only think of Jesus's memorable words when he said, [Mat 6:25] Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Be careful! Jesus was warning about the evil of the LOVE OF MONEY! And you need to take his warning in that context. And, you need to know what the Bible REALLY says about being prepared! Click here!
