Scriptural quotes relating Gold; Holy Spirit; and Rapture

Now, before I launch into my study of this ‘gold appearing in people’ phenomenon, let me state the framework of my prior beliefs. I believe in the pre-tribulation rapture; I believe that those deemed ‘worthy,’ will be caught up in the air to meet Christ as his Bride before the 7-year tribulation.  I do not think all who expect and await the rapture will get to go.  For example, the ten virgins of Matthew 25; only half go, those filled with oil.  And of the Churches in Revelation, only one or two are spared the upcoming events.

I also believe that the tribulation hour is very near, because of all that has been put in place by the forces that have been working on behalf of the AntiChrist.   Maybe we have a year, or only months to go, or any day now!

Also, personally, I have realized the possibility that I may not make the rapture.  I understand that I might not be worthy enough!  That is a very real danger, one exhorted about in the scriptures time and time again.  And I have accepted that I may be left behind, and I have accepted that I may be directly attacked and beheaded by the forces of the AntiChrist because of my religious faith in the literal words of the Bible.  But after all, I am not the one who can judge myself worthy of the rapture, that is for the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ.

I am, literally, as a result of my studies and knowledge, dead to my self in large part already, literally resigned to die for Christ if I miss the rapture, and living as completely as I can for Christ.  Without Him, I am nothing, dead already.  But I do not say this to say that I am without sin, because I’m not.  I waiver and weaken with sins of pride, lust, depression, and all the rest.

I have come to these conclusions based on my study of the rapture, and of the ‘mark of the beast’ prophesy, both of which can be found on my web site at 666 Mark of the Beast Bible Quotes and Web links And Rapture Page.

Ok; now let me begin this Bible study on the topic of the ‘gold teeth’ and what I think it all may mean.  Once again, this page proves nothing.  It is merely quoting scripture, added with my thoughts and speculation, in an attempt to understand, and show people that this ‘gold’ phenomenon is not from Satan in any way as some people are claiming.

Note; the Holy Spirit is likened both to Fire and Water in scripture.

I quote 4 scriptures on the main page, but this is my ‘in depth study’;

These are some of the scriptures I found by doing a search on “holy gold” in the KJV:

[Exod 39:30.8] And they made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and wrote upon
it a writing, like to the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

[1Kgs 7:50.18] And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the
censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple.

David: [1Chr 29:3.22] Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house.

[2Chr 3:8.6] And he made the most holy house, the length whereof was according to the
breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits: and he overlaid it with fine gold, amounting to six hundred talents.

[2Chr 4:22.29] And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of
pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

[Ezra 8:28.8] And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy
also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers.

So, I conclude from the above, that Gold is a proper adornment for the Temple of God.

But, there is another temple, our bodies.

[John 2:19] Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I
will raise it up.
[John 2:20] Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
[John 2:21.6] But he spake of the temple of his body.
[John 2:22] When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

[1Cor 6:19.10] What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which
is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

The only way we know what type of a ‘thing’ a temple is, is from the example of the Old Testament.  And it is adorned and sanctified with gold, as we saw.

[Mat 23:17] Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

And then there are the words of a friend of Job, who says we shall ‘lift up our faces without spot’, which Job confirms as obvious in the beginning of Job 12;

[Job 11:4] For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.

[Job 11:5] But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;

[Job 11:6] And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to
that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
…..
[Job 11:13] If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him; [God]

[Job 11:14] If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.

[Job 11:15] For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:

[Job 11:16] Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:

[Job 11:17] And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

[Job 11:18] And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

[Job 11:19] Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.

[Job 11:20] But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.

Keeping in mind from Job 11:6, “the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to
that which is!” Here are a couple more verses on holy gold:

[Zech 13:9] And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
[Zech 14:1] Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

[Jas 1:12] Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall
receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Although the actual fulfillment of Zechariah may occur during the tribulation, or after the 1000 year reign, it may see a partial fulfillment today, just as the “Holy Spirit” passages of Joel saw a partial fulfillment at the time of Acts.

In addition to gold being found in the temple, and our bodies as temples, the Church is the Bride of Christ.

[Eph 5:31] For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. [Eph 5:32] This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Now, to expand on the we will be ‘without spot’ idea in Job:  Christ will return for a spotless bride:

[2 Peter 3:14.22] Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

And the Bride will be filled with the Holy Spirit to give to others:

[Rev 22:17] And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Next, I did a search on ‘waters well up’; Water being a type of Holy Spirit;

[Gen 13:10.4] And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.

Have you ever thought it was important to note that the well waters sprang forth before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah?  With the example of Lot lifting up his eyes, as we who are in the last days are to do?

[Luke 21:28.15] And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

No need to quote scripture about waters welling up in the flood example...  8-)

And we know that both of these examples are important for us to note because:

[Matthew 24:37] But as the days of Noe [Noah] were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
[Matthew 24:38] For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
[Matthew 24:39] And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Waters?  Take them all away?  At the coming of the Lord?  This verse is screaming out “RAPTURE” in metaphoric language.  Talk about your (Job 11:6) double meanings!

Luke and Peter also tell us to look at Noah’s and Lot’s deliverance as examples of how the kingdom will come, so the revealing of ‘waters welling up’ in both accounts back in Genesis has specific meaning.

[Luke 17:26] And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
[Luke 17:27] They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
[Luke 17:28] Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
[Luke 17:29] But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

[2Pet 2:4] For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
[2Pet 2:5] And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
[2Pet 2:6] And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
[2Pet 2:7] And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
[2Pet 2:8] (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)
[2Pet 2:9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

Now, back to that water we are thirsting for so badly, and expect at this late hour that has been poured out on our brothers world wide:

[John 4:14.17] But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

[Rom 8:11.4] But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

We know we need the Holy Spirit.  And what grieves the spirit?

[Eph 4:29] Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
[Eph 4:30.2] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
[Eph 4:31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Our mouths are very important, and right now, in other Churches, are being blessed by the Holy Spirit around the world with miracles!  Here are a few scriptures talking about the importance of our tongues.

[Prov 10:20.2] The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.

[Prov 15:4.3] A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.

[Prov 18:21.10] Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

[2Sam 23:2.2] The Spirit of the LORD spake by me, and his word was in my tongue.

[Acts 2:4.19] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

There are 11 scriptures in the KJV that link “mouth” and “spirit”.
There are 7 scriptures that use both “tongue” and “spirit”.
There are 50 passages (some from Apocryphal books) on “teeth”.

Here’s a neat one;

[Job 13:14.9] Wherefore do I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?

(If the opposite of flesh is spirit…) If you put the spirit in your teeth, will you save your life?

Another gem:

[Job 19:20.20] My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.

Might we need the spirit on our teeth to escape in the rapture?

[Rev 17:3] So he carried me away in the spirit…

Here’s a beauty; Leviathon is described in job; but the TEETH are the DOORS of the face!

[Job 41:14.10] Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.

Compare;

[Revelation 4:1] After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

Now some teeth quotes:

[Pss 57:4.23] My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

[Pss 112:10.14] The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

[Pss 124:4] Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:
[Pss 124:5] Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.
[Pss 124:6] Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

What a glorious time to live!

[Prov 30:11] There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother.
[Prov 30:12] There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
[Prov 30:13] There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
[Prov 30:14] There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

[Isa 41:15] Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
[Isa 41:16] Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.  [Isa 41:17] When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
[Isa 41:18] I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
[Isa 41:19] I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together:
[Isa 41:20] That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

I believe both in the literal fulfillment and partial figurative fulfillment of passages according to Job 11:6, and

[1Cor 10:11] Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

So, back to teeth scriptures:

[Amos 4:6] And I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

[Zech 9:7] And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

[Mat 13:41] The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; [Mat 13:42.17] And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. [Mat 13:43] Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

[Mat 13:49] So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, [Mat 13:50.17] And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.  [Mat 13:51] Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord. [Mat 13:52] Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

[Mat 22:11] And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: [Mat 22:12] And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. [Mat 22:13.30] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [Mat 22:14] For many are called, but few are chosen.

[Mat 24:50] The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, [Mat 24:51.21] And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Leads into the 10 virgins parable)

[Mat 25:30.17] … there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [Mat 25:31] When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

Here’s an interesting one.

[Prov 16:16] How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

And another “come up hither” scripture in addition to [Revelation 4:1] regarding the rapture?

[Prov 25:7.2] For better it is that it be said unto thee, Come up hither; than that thou shouldest be put lower in the presence of the prince whom thine eyes have seen.

[Mat 7:11.13] If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

[John 16:22] And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
[John 16:23] And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
[John 16:24] Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
[John 16:25] These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
[John 16:26] At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
[John 16:27] For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

[Rev 3:17] Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
[Rev 3:18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich..." --Jesus Christ

[Mat 6:20] But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

[Jer 10:13 & Jer 51:16 say the same thing;] When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

The only time the four words; ‘our’ ‘god’ ‘hear’ ‘prayer’ are found in the KJV all together in one verse is;

[Dan 9:17.5] Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

[Exod 25:8.7] And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

[Hag 2:7] And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
[Hag 2:8] The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
[Hag 2:9] The latter splendor of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts; and in this place I will give prosperity, says the LORD of hosts."

[Mat 5:6] Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

[Luke 11:9] And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
[Luke 11:10] For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

[Luke 24:44] And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

[Mal 2:2] If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

[Mark 6:4] But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
[Mark 6:5] And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
[Mark 6:6] And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

[Job 22:25] and if the Almighty is your gold, and your precious silver;
[Job 22:26] then you will delight yourself in the Almighty, and lift up your face to God.
[Job 22:27] You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you; and you will pay your vows.
[Job 22:28] You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways.
[Job 22:29] For God abases the proud, but he saves the lowly.
[Job 22:30] He delivers the innocent man; you will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands."

After Holy Spirit was poured out, [Luke 24:45] Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

[Deut 6:6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
[Deut 6:7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
[Deut 6:8] And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.

Deuteronomy 11:18: "Therefore shall you lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes [your forehead]."

Deuteronomy 6:8: "And you shall bind them for a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes [forehead]."

Exodus 13:16: "And it shall be for a token [Hebrew: oth, meaning "sign"] upon your hand, and for frontlets between your eyes [forehead]: for by strength of hand the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt."

[Pss 81:10] I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
