In 1999, I predicted a Rapture for Sept. 10-11th, the Feast of Trumpets. Below is a cut and paste from my index page on Sept. 13, 1999 left in full, with nothing altered. All the links are also working. Here is my formal apology:

For all those who are reading this for the first time, I was one of the loudest voices on the newsgroups speaking about a "Rapture on Feast of Trumpets" this for Sept. 1999.

I'm sorry. I was wrong. I was a prideful idiot. I deceived myself. I have spoken presumptuously and deserve death under the Law according to Deuteronomy... And I deceived others who believed me. I lusted after the promise of the Kingdom, and through my pride and arrogance, I thought I could divine the time, and/or that I was worthy enough to be given divine revelation. Obviously, I was preaching out of my vain imagination, because I came to the wrong conclusions. Nothing happened! I was wrong! I'm sorry!

The Bible, as they say, is supposed to define its own terms.  That is why they make things like a concordance, which is supposed to list each and every case of an idea, concept, or word presented in the Bible.  Fortunately, with computer search technology, we don't have to rely on a concordance anymore, we can simply type in the words we are searching for, and the Bible search program runs through the entire bible and comes back with all the verses containing each of the words searched for.

There are a total of nine verses in the King James Bible that contain all three numbers, five seven and six. I did this search to see if there was support for a Rapture in 5760

These do not seem super extra supportive, or predictive of the 5760 idea because the "rapture clues", if you can call them that, seem, how can I put it?  Relatively tiny, or rather, it seems more of a stretch...

Ok, I began the search, "looking for the numbers 5760, and we are in the book of Numbers..."

[Num 31:32] Now the booty remaining of the spoil that the men of war took was: six hundred and seventy-five thousand sheep,

Yes, Christians are sheep, and the rapture is when we are taken up.

[Num 31:37] and the LORD's tribute of sheep was six hundred and seventy-five.

Or, in this case, given (tribute?) to God in the marriage ceremony at the rapture.

I just don't see the rapture significance of these horses & mules, camels & asses scriptures...

[Jer 52:30] in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadrezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred and forty-five persons; all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.

Alright, yes, we are "carried away" in the rapture.

So, unless I can figure out the 4 horses & mules, camels & asses scriptures...  I'll have to settle for 4/9 of the scriptures having a hint of rapture ideas contained within them, and the first one a strange "number" idea...  Maybe this is God's way of saying, If I don't get it by now, I'm a horse's ass?  God's got a funny sense of humor!
