In 1999, I predicted a Rapture for Sept. 10-11th, the Feast of Trumpets. Below is a cut and paste from my index page on Sept. 13, 1999 left in full, with nothing altered. All the links are also working. Here is my formal apology:

For all those who are reading this for the first time, I was one of the loudest voices on the newsgroups speaking about a "Rapture on Feast of Trumpets" this for Sept. 1999.

I'm sorry. I was wrong. I was a prideful idiot. I deceived myself. I have spoken presumptuously and deserve death under the Law according to Deuteronomy... And I deceived others who believed me. I lusted after the promise of the Kingdom, and through my pride and arrogance, I thought I could divine the time, and/or that I was worthy enough to be given divine revelation. Obviously, I was preaching out of my vain imagination, because I came to the wrong conclusions. Nothing happened! I was wrong! I'm sorry!

Do you want to know what happened? My thoughts on how I went so wrong?

5760 from "first last/last first"

The moment of the rapture is supposed to be at the end of the sixth day, 6000 years, right before the 7000.
Which, as many scholars calculate occurs this year on the New Jewish year 5760-1-1, Sept. 11th, 1999.

At the twinkling of an eye.

[1Cor 15:52.9] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

If you twinkle right at the 6/7 mark, and switch them, you get 576 instead.

Now, which comes first, 6 or 7?  Obviously, the 6.

[Mat 19:30] But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.
[Mat 20:16] So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. --[Rapture language!]
[Mark 9:35] And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. [And what is the number of man?  6!  And those raptured are to be kings and priests, serving all men on earth, ruling from Heaven!]
[Mark 10:31] But many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
[Luke 13:30] And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

Hence, 576, or 5760!

And, I mean, come on, did he really have to tell us this FIVE times? for  FIVE 76, or the Jewish Year 5760!
