In 1999, I predicted a Rapture for Sept. 10-11th, the Feast of Trumpets. Below is a cut and paste from my index page on Sept. 13, 1999 left in full, with nothing altered. All the links are also working. Here is my formal apology:

For all those who are reading this for the first time, I was one of the loudest voices on the newsgroups speaking about a "Rapture on Feast of Trumpets" this for Sept. 1999.

I'm sorry. I was wrong. I was a prideful idiot. I deceived myself. I have spoken presumptuously and deserve death under the Law according to Deuteronomy... And I deceived others who believed me. I lusted after the promise of the Kingdom, and through my pride and arrogance, I thought I could divine the time, and/or that I was worthy enough to be given divine revelation. Obviously, I was preaching out of my vain imagination, because I came to the wrong conclusions. Nothing happened! I was wrong! I'm sorry!

Do you want to know what happened? My thoughts on how I went so wrong?

The Full Apology 27k

Fulfilled verses in Matthew, just this year.

[Mat 24:29] "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken; [Mat 24:30] then will appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory; [Mat 24:31] and he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Verse 29: The eclipse on Aug. 11th, the most widely seen eclipse in history.  Followed by a meteor shower, and the grand cross alignment on Aug 18th.  And Comet Lee baffeling top scientists. And now, Sept. 11th Rapture at the trumpet call... it's all lining up.

[Mat 24:32] "From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. [Mat 24:33] So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. [Mat 24:34] Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away till all these things take place.

Isreal, the fig tree, "sprouted" it's leaves in 1967, when it took control of 4 new areas of land. So, then how long is the generation since that event? Matthew 1:1 “The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”
Jesus lived 33 years. 1967 + 33 = 2000, thus Christ has to come back before 2000, before the generation passes away.

[Mat 24:35] Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.
[Mat 24:36] "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.

Once again, this refers to the Feast of Trumpets, and how the Bridegroom, Christ, can only come for his Bride when the Father gives the "ok".

[Mat 24:37] As were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man. [Mat 24:38] For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, [Mat 24:39] and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

Anybody who has done the real research and studying on the issue knows that y2k is going to hit quite hard.  The world is not prepared, and neither are the power plants, refineries, off shore oil rigs, and more in the United States.  These large plants take about 5 years to build, and have about 25,000 embedded chips in them that are, in many cases, impossible to check, let alone replace. Anyway, people in the United States, today, are living like they did in Noah's day, without a care in the world.  Y2K is going to mess that all up pretty bad.  Thus, rapture in '99...

[Mat 24:40] Then two men will be in the field; one is taken and one is left. [Mat 24:41] Two women will be grinding at the mill; one is taken and one is left. [Mat 24:42] Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. [Mat 24:43] But know this, that if the householder had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched and would not have let his house be broken into. [Mat 24:44] Therefore you also must be ready; for the Son of man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Once again, the "thief in the night" is a reference to how the groom steals away his bride in the middle of the night, which is how Christ comes for his Bride at the Rapture on the Feast of Trumpets, which is the only Jewish feast day that comes on "an hour you do not expect" because "no man knows the exact day or hour" the festival is supposed to start--because it starts with the observance of a new moon.

I present the last few verses for the critics to evaluate:

[Mat 24:45] "Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? [Mat 24:46] Blessed is that servant whom his master when he comes will find so doing. [Mat 24:47] Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. [Mat 24:48] But if that wicked servant says to himself, `My master is
delayed,'  [Mat 24:49] and begins to beat his fellow servants, and eats and drinks with the drunken,  [Mat 24:50] the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, [Mat 24:51] and will punish him, and put him with the hypocrites; there men will weep and gnash their teeth.

Verses 15-28 refer to the Great Tribulation, which I believe will have a prophetic forshadow of a start on 1-1-2000 with Y2K, and the placement of the false capstone on the Great Pyramid.

Verses 1-14 have been fulfilled for the past 2000 years; antichrists, false prophets, wars, persecution, earthquakes, famines... but all this will intensify more and more until the second coming, which is after the 7 years of the Great Tribulation.
